ADRENAL GLAND - Nodular hyperplasia

Description
Somewhat enlarged adrenals showing, in the cortex a number of moderately well-defined nodules of yellowish tissue measuring up to 0.5 cm. in diameter.
History
This was an incidental finding in a woman aged 80 who died from a carcinoma of the lung. Sections of the adrenals showed no tumour deposit, and there was no evidence that the nodules were functioning.
